The year has hit the half-way mark and many of us are stunned by this reality. Either way, it still means that life is carrying on and that we must get on with things. This point brings me to consider Soul’s theme for July i.e. flow like water: it will find a way around or through even the largest rocks. In other words we need to carry on regardless of the challenges we find along our path because time carries on and as such, so does time. 1st of July sees us entering the 2nd half of 2022 and in retrospect if you think back to what you have been doing since 1 January 2022, what you have achieved, what have you procrastinated with, or what is still on your to-do list; one can’t help but think that there is still so much to do and time is going by so fast. It is a little nerve-wracking actually.

 

However, on the brighter side of things, it is not too late to grab the reigns and guide your life horse in a direction more suited to what you want to achieve and that makes you happy, rather than succumbing to the numbness that winter can generate for us. The stumbling block for us all always seems to be that ability to get up and DO that thing we want to, or start that thing we planned or actually just taking the 1st step forward into getting out of your comfort zone, which is where the magick for us all happens – and this on top of winter too.

 

Having said that, we need to almost generate extra energy and strength to keep going in these winter months, rather than hibernate all the time. There is space for that, however, for some of the time, we should engage in action and things energetic too. These things cultivate good feelings, get our endorphins flowing and make us feel better about ourselves. If you are at a loss for what to consider, I encourage you to try our yoga classes. Our yoga classes are small, non-intimidating and super relaxing. You will feel exercised, yet totally relaxed and rejuvenated after a 60-minute class. We offer two Slow Flow Vinyasa classes per week (Tuesdays & Thursdays) and a restorative Yin yoga class (Saturday mornings). Give it a try and see how it impacts your body, mind and spirit. A moment of time where you can truly connect with yourself in a tranquil space and where you unashamedly have time and space to love you as you are and feel the energy that goes with these good feelings.
